Before and after the operation the process is handled easy given that you follow your doctor’s advice. First day swelling is reduced with intermittent ice application. There won’t be intense pain, painkillers given by the doctor can take control of the pain that will occur on the first day.

It depends on the tooth that will be extracted. If there isn’t an acute infection in the tooth root and if the bone remaining after the extraction is suitable for an implant to be fixated, then an implant can be done simultaneously with teeth extraction.

If it is estimated that chewing force will be impacted during the recovery time of the area that the implant was applied to, then simultaneously with implant application prostheses can be done on top of it. But every case is independent from each other. For every case there is not a standard procedure that can be applied to everyone.

There has been reports from many works that when cigarette consumption is greater than 10 times a day, implant and jaw connection is blocked. Among smoking people its 2-3 times more likely for an implant to fall off.

The problem of being toothless after the implant operation can be solved using temporary teeth until implant and bone connection is completed. But for the next days after the operation it is suggested that temporary teeth are not used due to wounds inside the mouth.
